Aunty’s dead people

June 29th, 2007 · 5 Comments

Pratibha Aunty can talk to souls. I mean, dead people’s souls. If elected, she would be the first Indian president to do so. Nice, really nice.

The UPA-Left Presidential nominee Pratibha Patil claims to have spoken to a late spirirtual leader from whom she got a “divine premonition” of greater responsibility coming her way.

Ms. Patil claimed that the late Baba (referring to Dada Lekhraj, founder of the Brahma Kumari sect) spoke to her indicating that she should be prepared to shoulder greater responsibility. “He also made me very lucky,” she said.

Once elected, she would be consulting the souls of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Chacha Nehru and Dr Rajendra Prasad should any constitutional crisis pop up. She will even consult, Netaji Bose if needed, though his death is still unconfirmed, because she can talk to living people’s souls as well. Nice, really nice.

What else can one say, this is the Times of CPIM.
