Comments on: Kamal’s DASAVATHARAM – Review

Wow! was the first word came out after of the first 5 minutes and I am sure I was not breathing as Nambi sinks into the ocean of religious prejudice of Kulotunga II.

Sky in those scenes was made to look as dark to aptly portray the minds of those pundits who were enviably educated in sastra’s and vedas but perilously ignorant of divinity and love.

This enormous work with creativity calls for creation of a supreme award purely Made in India, as we need not look at the Oscar for bestowing its recognition on us, to be given to the film.

Well, I just noted a couple of slips, which is not to be made at all a blunder when one thinks of the mammoth efforts gone behind making this wonderful epic.

In the song, “Mukuntha… mukuntha…” many avatars of Vishnu are brought on (rather behind) the small white screen in sync with the lyrics. As the line goes, machamaaga… a fish is shown, vaamanan… a small boy, right. Narangalantha simhamaagi… a lion, correct.

But, for koormamaaga… what actually shown was VARAHAM… the pig avatar lifting the earth up over its mouth. It should have been a TORTOISE on the screen.

In another spot, where Balram Naidu asks to Apparao and Narasimharao to work.. “rao da rao aa” and then says “RAW oda CIA ve cooperate pannuthu”. But actually on the scene, the people shown were said to be from FBI.

Well. These slips should not be blown up big and even if done by hard-nosed critics, it could never subdue the magnanimity of a movie of this kind.

No body can stop Kamal hassan,
he became Vasool Ulaga Nayagan in this Movie.

More over distributors are very Happy.

already this movie has raked more than 200 crores in BO. so all you ppl donot write crap here..ulaga nayagan is really a vasool nayagan and decimated and surpassed other suppandi actor’s collections.

shut up u frickin ppl who hate dasa and kamal. kamal is the most versatile and vasool nayagan in real sense. this movie has already collected 125 crores in 5 weeks and someone saying that he is not compatable with sottaji cos of collection. guys gimme a break kamal is the most successful in indian film history with 38 silver jubilees and more 100 days movies. it s just that he is trying in the past decade. sottaji is in his bathroom thinking how to give hits like kamal cos has set benchmark in both acting and collections.. check out all box office records for dasavatharam u find the only word that is MONEY MONEY… wake up donot have preconceived notions .. dasa is a brilliant movie. give kamal a 100 million USD he will better picture than some of the so hollywood blockbusters actually they are damp squibs… kamal rocks..appreciate our own ppl first. mera bharat MAHAAAN

Yes i agree that tey dint even spend half of wat tey spend on Dasaavathaaram “The saint”
But the in the movie saint it is all about one man in different getups, However Dasaavathaaram is completly a diffrent character it did required kaml to look completly diff from other charcters, if kaml would have done something like val kimer it would have looked like kamal trying to imitate 10 diff characters……
anyways Kaml is a genius he will learn from his mistakes…it onlys feels sad that an actor like his kamal is always critiszed then the one who do not deserve any recognition is apreciated.
for especially dumb movies with the same old script….same story…with diff color clothing…
